Recommended to install on your departure day while connected to the internet (home Wi-Fi before you leave, or airport Wi-Fi).
eSIM is not supported on iPads, tablets, customised, contract-bound, carrier-locked, jailbroken or rooted devices.
An eSIM cannot be installed or activated without an internet connection.
The QR code is valid for 30 days and expires after that, so there is no benefit to buying too early.
After your order is confirmed, please follow the installation guide sent with your eSIM.
The illustrated steps below cover the full process, from scanning the QR code to switching mobile data over on arrival in Korea — approximately ten minutes in total. For further detail, please refer to the full installation guide.

A native eSIM connects directly to a Korean domestic carrier's network — SK Telecom in this case — rather than being relayed through international roaming. Removing that layer generally results in faster connection establishment and greater stability at peak hours. This plan is also unlimited with no throttling threshold, whereas a standard plan reduces speed to 128 kbps once its allowance is used.
Yes. Coverage is nationwide and includes Jeju Island. Seoul, Myeongdong, Hongdae, Busan Haeundae, Nami Island and Gangwon are all within range, and flying domestically to Jeju requires no plan change and no settings change.
Counting starts when you activate the eSIM after arriving in Korea, and each day is a full 24 hours from that moment. Please activate after arriving in Korea rather than before departure, so that no days are consumed in transit.
Install it on your departure day while your phone still has an internet connection — home Wi-Fi before you leave, or airport Wi-Fi. Installation and activation are two separate steps: complete the installation first, then switch mobile data over on arrival. A phone without an internet connection cannot install an eSIM, so please complete this before departure.
Tethering is supported. Hotspot behaviour varies by handset model and OS version, so successful sharing cannot be guaranteed on every device. If everyone in your party requires data throughout the trip, we recommend one eSIM per phone.
iPads, tablets, customised handsets, contract-bound and carrier-locked phones, and jailbroken or rooted devices are all unsupported. Before ordering, dial *#06# to check for an EID and confirm your phone is not carrier-locked.
